WASHINGTON STATE INFRAGARD

SPONSORSHIP PACKET

OVERVIEW

In 1996, the InfraGard program began as a collaborative effort between the public and private partnerships that aims to enable information sharing for the protection of critical infrastructure. This program is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization is led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and has since grown to a national organization of 78 Chapters and over 80,000 members.

InfraGard “Chapters” are geographically linked with FBI Field Office territories and are a partnership between private sector-led InfraGard Member Alliances and the FBI. InfraGard is a partnership between the FBI and public and private sector individuals.

Washington State InfraGard is an FBI-affiliated 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving the state of Washington with over 1200 members. Our Chapter mission is “To protect Washington State’s infrastructure and critical services by providing a secure platform and trusted community to share experiences and information.”

Our members include both private business and public agencies that represent the 16 critical infrastructure sectors established by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), as well as government, academic institutions, first responders, and state, local, and federal law enforcement agencies. As an information sharing and networking initiative, InfraGard is serving the interests and combining the subject[1]matter expertise of a wide range of members to prevent hostile acts against the United States.

Critical Infrastructure sectors are assets, systems, and networks, whether physical or virtual, are considered so vital to the United States that their incapacitation or destruction would have a debilitating effect on security, national economic security, national public health or safety, or combination thereof.
